this will sound a bit snotty but I'm getting tired of the amount of Christmas chocolate we have-down to 4 tubs of chocolates/biscuits, half a Thorntons Santa and a Christmas pudding now. It's been yummy but I'm mostly having it just because it's there. How can I discreetly stop having these?

Either as Aria Enoshima said - donate it to a food bank or something (or just keep it and bring it out when visitors are round), or just keep it somewhere and have some as and when you do feel like a bit. I still have a tub of Miniature Heroes, a box of Guylians and a chocolate snowman from Christmas 2013...I'll start on them at some point, a little bit at a time.
