I need tips on preparing for an interview/ having an interview Watch

    • Thread Starter

ok I got an interview next week

Before the interview, I normally research the company, find some latest news about the company, research the role and then think about the type of questions they may ask.

On the day of the interview, I get quite nervous, how do I keep my nerves in check? Also how are you meant to the question? Using the star technique?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can only try to give advice on controlling nerves. There are a few techniques that i use. Firstly, its as easy as just taking a deep breath. Taking a deep breath starts an automatic calming response from the body so taking one just before going in for the interview is helpful. You can also try 'power posing'. If you stand or sit in a powerful position for a few minutes before the interview (e.g. standing feet shoulder width apart, arms on hips or outstretched, upstraight and chest out) your body will feel more powerful, relaxed and confident.
