Clearasil??

I am really peeved because at 24 all of a sudden my spots have returned. I was wondering if anyone has ever used something available over the counter that works??? I was thinking as they are less severe something like Clearasil might help now. Before it was not strong enough and just made the pre-existing spots really red:frown:

I generally find that Clearasil doesn't work.
I love Liz Earle's products, which are available over the counter but are a bit more expensive.
If you want something a bit cheaper try Lush's "Imperialis" moisturiser which is designed for combination skin and is all-natural. Buy from www.lush.co.uk if you haven't got a shop near you.

I found that Clearasil ultra worked when using the wash, the pads and the stuff you put on the individual spots, but it tends to work better if you use all 3 together for the first 4 days then stop using the pads as it starts to dry out your skin then after a few day break use one again.

i found that most of the stuff you get over the counter doesnt help with the spots but gives you dry skin as well. instead of using the whole cleanser toner and moisturiser stuff i gave up and bought some tea tree cleanser from superdrug. that seems to work better for me because it doesnt dry out my skin.

quinoderm, it's for acne, but it works for spots too. I dab some on before I go to bed, and in the morning the spots look a lot worse. Have a similar problem, my skin was so clear, and suddenly I've got all these spots!

i work at superdrug so am addicted to trying all the new skin products and i tend to get outbreaks of spots i'd try using the clearasil 3 day action cream to get rid of the spots. i have it and i find that it works really well. and to keep ur skin under control try using the nivea young range i have the exfoliater cleanser and moisturiser and it really help control my skin hope that helps

No over the counter stuff rly works. Try eating more fruit+veg and less wheat, helps a lot.

Clearasil does dry your skin out. I think its an every now and again product that helps me a bit to be honest.

Have you asked your GP for some sort of topical treatment you apply to the skin? I tried Benzamycin and it worked, I stopped using it because I didnt get a chance to get a repeat prescription, it only lasts 6 months before you have to throw it away and get some fresh stuff.
