    Hi

Could anyone give me some info on what the workload for PPE is like? Additionally, do you find yourself doing mostly essays, or presentations?

Hey, it really depends on what you're used to and how much independent work you want to do as everyone here has really different opinions on it. I'm a first year and first term I had 7 lecture/seminar hours per week which is pretty ridiculous tbh. We get a lot of reading every week (politics and philosophy) which can keep you busy but isn't a huge workload. In terms of assessment we have an economics assignment due online every week which takes about 15 minutes depending on how up to speed you are, and an essay in philosophy and in politics for first term. Group presentations depend on your tutor. Basically the workload just depends on you. Some people come prepared having read all the required readings and some optional ones while others don't show up to a single class and still get good marks. There's enough to keep you really busy if you want to go the extra mile but in my opinion the workload is nowhere near as bad as many students make it out to look. Second term's just started and I have a few more hours per week (about 10) and a bit more work but not much. I'm still only in first year though, year 2 and 3 will definitely be a lot harder but again it all depends on how much you want to invest yourself, what marks you're aiming for...etc. Feel free to message me if you want to know anything else about modules or anything.
