Does anyone find that you got happier with the way you look/your appearance as you got older?

I don't think much about my face (for ex.) has changed that much since I was 17, but I look in the mirror and I'm way happier than I used to be about my looks

I was talking to one of my friends a while back when she was turning 19 and she told me that as she got older she started to get happier about how she looked also. Just wondering if anyone on here felt the same way?

Yeah, kinda, but I think it's more to do with not caring and having other issues to think about. During your teens, it's mainly just school problems. As you get older, you find time diminishes and you have other priorities that don't require you to focus heavily on your looks. Plus people are kinder about looks as you get older, I find, because they know that looks alone doesn't make someone interesting or nice to be around. So yeah, there's just lots more to get done and think about than younger years :P xx

I'm wouldn't say I was happier with it. I still think I'm ugly but I don't care about it as much as I used to.
