Last year I did year 12 and took chemistry, physics, maths and geography. Things didn't really go to plan, I had a really tough year, did hardly any work and I hated my subjects so I ended up with BBCC on results day. Obviously this isn't terrible but I didn't think it was good enough for a competitive uni application to do something like economics or law, so I restarted my a levels taking history, english lit, economics and i'm redoing maths. I'm now confused because I've done three new subjects so I could still achieve 3 a levels in 2 years without re-sitting them if I drop maths after year 12. Would this still count as resitting my a levels even though I'll have done three in two years, and therefore mean I wouldn't be considered by some universities? thanks

I think the best thing to do would be to email the universities you are looking at explaining your situation. See if your eligible for that university and if not, email other institutions.

I know that hasn't been the best information, but it's all I can think of to get a definite answer.
