Hi, I am hoping to apply to Uni next September. My parents are retiring within the next year and our family income will drastically reduce. Can I apply for financial help in my second and third years only or do you have to apply for the loan at the beginning of the course to take account of all three years?
    Thank you.

    Hello,

You can definitely just apply for years 2 and 3 if you don't need funding in your first year. Even if your parent's income is quite high, you will still be eligible for a tuition fee loan and maintenance loan in year 1 if you require it, and then you can just apply for the extra funding for years 2 and 3.

    Thanks
