Out of curiosity, how do graduates/college leavers get publicity for something they have achieved?

For example, a music graduate is offered a job in the music industry, and the music graduate's University publishes an article about him or her on their website.

Does the university find out themselves or do you let them know and ask for publicity?

You'd sent it on to the university to let them know.

Then the uni can shout about it because it's a graduate.

Our university asks us to let them know of any awards or similar achievements, so they can go on the website; they also publish a list then in the annual yearbook thing.

Lots of unis do check up on what their alumni are doing. It's beneficial to the uni to advertise ex-students doing well. However, if you've got a particular achievement you'd like to make your uni aware of, I'm sure they'd love to hear from you

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
