I am good friends with a couple of people who are in their late 50's but I used to take care of their Mother until I changed jobs but I still stayed in contact. One of her son helps me a lot - fixed my car, radio, buys me things without asking me and invites me over there for dinner once in a while and I do go over there and have been for the last year. Now, we do have the occasional 'dirty' banter, but only joking! I always give him a big squeeze (hug) before going and when I did, I felt his face near mine (I felt his breath) and looks like he was about to kiss me but I moved away in time and pretended nothing happened and just said bye... I am sure he did because he was very close. I am feeling mortified and embarrassed. I am 22, for Christ sake and I have a boyfriend! I don't know how to approach this.. I do not want to stop going there as I have a good relationship with his mother but I am scared he is going to try it on again :/

Mortified? Calm down he didn't try to rape you

Listen, he will try and do it again and when he does politely decline. Simple

Yeah I wonder what on earth made him do that...
He still should know better, though?!

You're the one having dirty banter with teenagers.

Or do you mean he's 50? Even more of a reason to stay clear of dirty banter.
HE IS IN HIS 50'S, not me!

As above OP if he tries it again just politely let him know you're not single.

No he shouldn't. Does he know you're relationship status? If not then you're game since you're over 18

I'm sorry but it's your fault for feeding this. Why would you have dinner with a 50 year old man?

If it were possible to bet on such things, I would wager everything I own that the son-guy-50 has sexual fantasies about OP several times a day. I would also say that there is a middling chance that he has gone further and deposited his DNA on OP's property.

On a wider point, though - I see no reason why a 22 year old shouldn't be eating/socialising with a 50 year old. Both adults.

I'll take the over on 20 for the fantasies and the over on 5 for the DNA-depositing.
OP - don't leave your toothbrush, lipstick or shoes unattended.

I know, right. She should have stayed away. I mean, it's ok to accidentally hang out after she has taken care of his mother and stuff but not actually go out of her way to spend time with him. Then complain that he wants more... nothing is free.

Plus, what does your boyfriend have to say while he's showering you with gifts and you're going to dinner with him, OP?

Just forget it and if he does that again or tries to talk to you in that way, just tell him friendly "I'm sorry, I have a boy-friend and I do not want to behave in such a way. Hope you don't take it an offense. We are good friends. "
