What to do in summer before university/after year 13? watch

    • Thread Starter

Basically, I have an incredibly long summer from the end of June up till the first week of October. I already have plans up till results day in August but that is still like a month and a half of nothing planned at all!

I am already going on a month of holiday so I probs can't afford to go to another one in that time and most of my friends would've started their uni courses by mid September.

    I was thinking:
    - Camping
    - Working (but companies usually only offer summer jobs until end of august)
    - Residential trips (any suggestions guys??)
    - Volunteering (any suggestions??)
    - Taking up a new hobby

I honestly need something to fill that massive gap! otherwise it would very very very boring!!!!!!! Do you guys have any suggestions?? Thanks

I volunteered a little in my library one summer, they usually have their reading challenges for kids and it's a good way to spend a few days. Lots of volunteering roles are posted on websites like "VInspired" and "do it". Hobbies can be a good idea, I taught myself knitting and it's come in handy for the winter. That or maybe sports or fitness? Seeing as you've planned a lot already it could be a good idea to see what happens, sometimes spontaneous ideas are the best ones
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
