    Hi, I've applied to do a Adult Nursing course in September, I'm just wondering how student finance works when doing an NHS course?

    The NHS pay your tuition fees and give you a non means tested grant of £1000. You can get more money on top of that depending on household income.

    Student finance give you a reduced rate maintainance loan of around £2700ish.

    Neither of these come automatically, you must apply for them.

    its not paid per month, its per semester unless your scottish. I can't give a rough amount as it really depends on household income. Here is the NHS calculator https://apps.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/SBCalcs/i...Calculator/new

    Household income is usually the income of any parents you live with
