I detoxed for about 6 weeks last year (with a break for my birthday weekend) and it was actually really good. I didn't loose much weight, about half a stone at most, but I just felt so so so good in myself. I always think I am going to do it again, but it takes a while to get into and you only get the real benefits after a few weeks. I rekon I would have lost more weight if I had excersised aswell, nd i ate a lot of nuts which are high in fat, but I just did it to feel good really.
Basically you cut out everything processed so all refined sugars. thats basically everything thats not natural. I was quite strict though, you could be more leniant I guess.
I didn't eat: red meat (hard to digest), pasta, rice, (unless it was wholegrain) bread, any dairy product, caffeine, alcohol, fruit juices made from concentrate etc... so basically just ate fresh fruit and veg, smoothies, fish, herbal teas, wholegrain rice, nuts, soup and thats about it. lots of water though aswell.
Thinking back it was actually so good! I think I might do it again actually!
i had so much enegry and woke up naturally at about 7 every morning, i never felt hungry, my skin was really clear and all my cellulite vanished! I would reccomend it to anyone!
