I was just wondering if it's weird not to celebrate valentines day...i've been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years and we haven't ever celebrated.
The way we see it, is that we shouldn't have a certain date telling us to be nicer to each other, buy presents or cook each other a fancy meal (Cause we do that all the time anyway)
At the very most we'll buy each other a card...
Is it weird not to celebrate? All down my facebook there are people raving about how they can't wait for valentines day and how it'll be so special...but i don't get why =S

No, it's most definitely not weird but much rather something that is very controversial.
It depends on who your opinions and beliefs, as well as your partners. With that being said, there is no written rule that states you have to celebrate Valentines Day.
It's not weird at all!

Sounds like you guys have a healthier relationship than your Facebook friends. Valentine's Day is just another gimmick, a way for the card industry to make some money. You don't need to specific date to do romantic things together.

I don't think its as weird as not celebrating any other holidays, in fact its more sensible since at least most others have a 'its related to religion' excuse.
