I was in my friend's bedroom earlier, and we were looking at this fit guy's profile on Facebook. When we came across a photo of him with some girls, my friend said,
"See, those girls aren't THAT fit, so it's reassuring, coz you know that you're not out his league."
Was that her way of saying I'm basically a minger?!

basically you cant take offence to fact. and the fact is that there are differnet levels of goodlooking. he might be one notch above you in the good looking department that doesnt mean your ugly!..it just means that your not quite as goodlooking as him. if you take offence to the fact that someone is considered better looking then you theres no need.some people are just blessed with prettier genes.
her point was that he was not arrogant enough to only hang around with equally beautiful people and so you, as a slightly less beautiful person. note SLIGHTLY . have a chance..that is if you believe in leagues and all that...

Depends how she said it. Was the 'you' actually directed at you? Or was it the sort of you meaning people in general? You know the sort of 'you' where you would actually say 'one' if you were being posh.

As suggested above, perhaps she was using "you" "your" to refer to your group in general rather than you specifically?
Either way it doesn't sound like she was insulting you, more that she was commenting on his exceptional attractiveness, and no doubt huge dong.
