Title says it all really, is music a-level highly regarded or is it seen as 'soft'?

I don't think it the fact that people call it soft, I think it is more the fact it is very specialist. By this I mean it is only good if you intend to study music at university... I mean I studied it at GCSE, but I didn't study it A Level for this reason. That being said, if you enjoy it and wish to study it, who am I to judge?

Depends what you mean by soft, it's not any easier than other subjects and universities won't respect it any less than other subjects.

What Artimus said. It's not "soft", but it's also not regarded as "facilitating". Unless you're planning on studying Music at university, it should be a third or fourth choice.
