what are the Current educational issues in primary education

Literacy rates and class sizes are always up there. Also things like school starting age and what subjects should be taught at such age (i.e. compared to other countries). e.g. should foreign languages be taught when children are best able to pick up language? should children be taught to read by focussing on letters...or should they know focus more on learning syllables? +how should they be taught mathematics?

Yeah right.

Better suggestions might be Early Years baseline assessment, universal free school meals provision and disqualification by association.
