    Hi all,

I am currently based offshore but am looking to move to London asap (bored of where I live).

Asset management/investment banking is of great interest to me but I have had limited experience in this area (only worked corporate services with Deutsche Bank and investment administration with RBC).

I have been been offered an operations role with a boutique hedge fund in the City but am worried my career is heading towards back office, which will limit future prospects.

I only graduated 2 years ago (1 of which spent travelling) so this is more of a location change than career decision.

If I take the hedge fund position, will it be possible to move into a front office role at some point (desk assistant etx)?

What do people recommend I do?

Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
