Resitting AS units in dropped subject, for top unis? watch

    • Thread Starter

Does anyone here know if top unis for economics (Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Warwick etc) look at your AS grades if you apply post-A Levels with A2 grades in hand? I had a B in AS Chemistry and dropped it, but I was only 3 marks off an A so I'm considering resitting one exam if those top unis will still look at my AS results if I apply after a gap year. If I do resit a Chemistry unit I'll have 12 exams in the summer so I'm not exactly keen on the idea lol but if it's important then I'll just do it. I'm also predicted 3 A*s for A2 so if I get that but keep B's in AS Chem and AS French then will it hamper my application?

Usually prestigious unis like Oxford and Cambridge aren't a big fan of people who do resits
