Okay so I'll keep this as short as I can, I'm currently studying at the university of Kent in my second year about to start the next term, however I wish to drop out and start a new university doing the same course (criminology) hopefully as a second year in September possibly at Sussex or a London university. I got an overall 2:1 in the first year and have been getting grades 65-80% In exams and essays so far.

I'm leaving due to personal issues which were greatly influenced by an awful first year , I've tried many other ways to change my feelings about Kent and Canterbury but I feel I can't enjoy it there personally and do not wish to stick out another year and a half. I also do not want to change in third year as I feel moving to a new place with so much work pressure will be too much for me mentally, the build up to changing will give me time to research parts of my new course and be prepared for the changes to come.

Has anyone done this before? If so any advice would help as to how likely it is I can change or what your experience has been, also I'm open to suggestions of other universities

    Thanks a lot 😁

People have transferred into second year before, however its up to individual universities to see if they can accept you as it depends on course compatibility- you need to email the universities and see what they say
