AS level , Math modules help watch

    • Thread Starter

Diffrence between , Core modules , Further pure, decision, statistics and mechanics ? Iam new to this whole AS level .

To get a maths A level you have to complete 6 units.
An AS consists of Core 1, Core 2, and one option module such as statistics 1, mechanics 1, or decisions 1.
The A2 then consists of Core 3, Core 4, and then another option module, so if you did statistics 1 for AS, you could do statistics 2 for A2, or do mechanics 1 or decision 1 etc.
There are so many modules because to get a further maths A level you have to do 6 more units.
Your school will either tell you which option modules you're doing or give you the choice and you can choose what interests you more or what will benefit you more (for example if you want to study engineering at university it would be a good idea to do the mechanics modules).
