has anyone done aything like this? advice would be great

about me (you can skip this if you must lol)

basically, I study medical science part time and in 3rd year (equivalent to 2nd year on a full time course) but due to personal issue Im sure I wont pass this year and cannot do next year (will be in hospital a miss the whole 1st semester).

Im part time basically because ive had many issues since starting and have had 2 major operations (not including the dental operations for an infection), more hospital appointments and scans than I can count and I have young child.

I also have become disenchanted with the course, 95% of it isnt realated to what I wanted to specialise in any way and pippetting all day long is tedious as hell.

    now the complicated bit:

I want to leave and cash in my credits so far for a CertHE, then take a year off to get everything sorted and then come back and do a DipHE in ODP...

has any one done this or similar?

does anyone know the practicalities of this?

like how it affects funding going from a CertHE to a DipHE etc...?
