    Hi everyone,

I’ve applied as a mature student for IR/Politics to St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen andStirling. I’m 23 just now, 24 this year and have had 7 years in the armed forces. Academic wise, I didn’t do anything past GCSE’s. I’m in the process of completing an Open University course-Introduction to the social sciences- for 60 credits. I do worry my application is a bit thin, and will be rejected on lack of academic qualifications. However I did phone all aforementioned Universities and they said this would be ok to apply with.

Anyway has anyone else been in a similar situation? Or was this maybe you last year?
My plan if I get all rejections is to try to phone and persuade some of my choice with my jedi mind tricks, then worst case go to clearing.
Alas another day of checking emails constantly @,@

Do you think parents should charge rent?
