Hmm well it'll mainly be cardio stuff innit so can't go wrong with running (do some fartlec for variety), bit on the rowing machine can't hurt.

Running with ankle weights, building up your legs with squats.

get on a decent bike machine and change up the settings, endurance, strength, speed...etc...

and record the progress

I would say running and swimming.

hi over the summer I did a lot of mountain biking - usually 40miles +, and on a occasion, me and my friend did a 65 miles in a day. I would say, running is important is you need to have big lungs, esp. going up hill. Also i think you should train your anterior femur muscles as I found that this is the bit that would hurt in the following day, which means, the muscles that are constantly working as you cycle - hope that helps :smile:
