I asked this girl out that i'd liked for a while and she said yes, but she made some excuse about not being free for a while and she didn't seem that enthusiastic.

Any thoughts on what I should do? Wait a few days and call? Wait and see if she calls/texts? Leave it and move on?

I'm torn between what I want and what she wants- I want to see her and she did say yes, on the other hand i'm not sure I want to see someone who just doesn't have the heart to say no.

Please just tell her that we shouldn't go out after all. The half-hearted yes says it all. Maybe she is going through something. But it will really be awful for you to force life or happiness into a relationship she clearly doesn't want

Just move on. She obviously isn't bothered about meeting up with you and/or is keeping you on the side. Don't chase her. She's obviously not worth the work as you'll most likely be the one doing all the giving.

She probably has other men on her bench too.
