My girlfriend is currently looking to take A-Level Biology as access to a new career path (due to health circumstance she has had to change her career).
The problem is she is currently 23, but has in the past already taken A-Levels. This means that she cannot be government funded, but also doesn't qualify for the 24+ Learning Loan.
She'd need to study in Birmingham, but we're having a hard time finding funding support for this. We cannot currently afford to pay for the courses ourselves (at least at the prices we've seen).
Is her only option to wait until she is 24, to apply for the loan? This may not seem like a long time, but it's just another year hurdle to her getting on with her life. Why the arbitrary 24?
