Seriously, does anyone know of anyway to get rid of/lessen them? They're truely awful and I havn't had a proper nights sleep in weeks. Anyone know what causes them?

If they're stopping you sleeping then it could be something you need to see your GP over. Otherwise, it could be that there are problems in your life being played out in dreams? Try and tackle and difficulties you have in your waking hours, and go to bed satisfied with your day.

Its your brain, when you go to sleep your brain keeps functioning and it mixes up random images or thoughts in your head and plays then in a sort of movie. you can usually trace your dreams back to thoughts or events that have occured over the past few days. its weird but interesting how dreams form. Anyway, what you need to do is relax a little and so i have a perfect track for you before you sleep, listen to this!:

Thankyou . I made the mistake of leaving the donnie darko soundtrack on while I went to sleep the other night, that was messed up. I don't think I have that many issues really atm. I've just started uni, and obv theres loads of upheaval, but I have loads of cool ppl round me and I feel like I'm coping with it all ok...maybe I'm just not dealing as well as I'd like to think.

I keep having loads of dreams at the moment where I kick the crap out of chavs. However, I am rather enjoying them and wish them to continue.

Ah yeh I get th epic adventure dreams, they're fun . The ones atm though, a lot of the time I can't move, and one of the things I hate the most is being pinned down, so when I'm just lying there trying to run away from something or defend myself against something and I can barely lift my hand...scares me. And yeh I don't really eat cheese so I doubt it's that!!

I kept getting loads of bad dreams all last week. Started off as just one nightmare per night and then I ended up with about 3-5 ones which didn't make much sense every night. I think it was to do with college stress, but they've stopped now. I also got told to not eat cheese in the evening.

True in my experience. Infact somtimes me and my gf would eat a tonne of cheese right before bed so we could have funky weird dreams.

I have bad dreams quite a lot, i don't have recurring ones as such but i have recurring themes. The two main ones are, me dying involving planes (it is always planes) Or my boyfriend leaving me. No idea why i dream about these things :frown:
