should i take the first offer? watch

    Hi all!

I am a History student who is hoping to become a Secondary History teacher and have been applying to various School Direct and SCITT courses.

I had an interview yesterday, and got offered a place today but have another interview on friday for the same scheme with a different provider. What are people's thoughts?

If I liked the course I have already been offered, should I still go to the other interview this week just to keep my options open? I really liked the scheme but not sure if this is just because it's the only one I've seen properly. There's not a gurantee I'll get Friday's one, obviously, and I'll also miss a day of uni for it. I also have to teach a class on a subject I've never studied before, so won't be 100% confident.

Confused!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Go for it! There's no harm in giving yourself more options, you might end up loving it even more? Even if you don't get an offer, the interview experience especially teaching a class will be so beneficial for when you're applying for jobs later in life!
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
