Dating Etiquette

I am going out with girl to a restaurant later this week. Am I meant to pay, or do we split? Do I invite her for a drink at mine after? (or does that look too pushy) Any other advice you can give me?

Pay, don't take her to yours after if its only the first date

offer to pay, if she wants to split it, then go with that. offer to go out for a drink after if the evening is going well. as for asking her back to yours, you'll have to go by instinct, but by then you'll be able to tell how the evening's going.

You need to pay te first date (asking someone out then goin half doesn't set good first impressions.)

Go for a drink after but out not at yours.

If the meals a nice "classy" place maybe think about planning somewhere for a drink after where the atmoshpere is low and relaxed. Near me is a great cocktail bar that would be perfect for an after dinner drink. Walk her back to hers if it's not to far and end the evening like that. Perfect.

Hmm well me and most of my friends would probably expect the guy to pay, considering he asked, and its the first date! It's just like that! As old fashioned as it sounds. He could possibly pay for the 2nd date, but after that definitely half-half.
