I've had a lot going on at home the past few months and my attendance in sixth-form (my second year, studying A2) has been really bad. I was told that I had to have 100% attendance from January onwards but I lost a close family member over Christmas and I haven't returned to school yet. I received a phone call today from my tutor to say that I may be asked to leave because my attendance is that bad:confused:. I've been going over my work at home and I'm still performing at my predicted grades it's just my attendance that is bad! I was considering leaving sixth-form to sort myself out and restarting my second year in September... however I just received an unconditional from the university I wanted to go to!
I'm really confused as what to do. I'm considering studying the rest of my A2 year at home and applying to a college (that is a 5 minute walk from my house) to sit as an external/private candidate? Just wanted to know other's opinions on this and any advice. I know that going away to university is what I need, I just need to make sure I can get some a-levels Thanks!
