It essentially works like this on a really basic logical level:

    Low Population: Heterosexuality favoured

    Medium Population: No sexuality favoured

    High Population: Homosexuality favoured.

I guess we are moving through the second stage right now.

It would be better if all humans were heterosexual because they actually procreate and one of the most important things in a healthy society is a healthy birth rate. Having said that Ricky Martin managed to have kids... West should learn from Vladamir Putin who is making sure homosexual propaganda isn't being pushed in schools as it is in the West.

Of course it would be, and we're heading that way as it is. Studies have shown, in the next few decades the population of people who identify as bisexual will outweigh those identifying as heterosexual, with some sociologists predicting people to be 'born bisexual' in 50 years or so. Couldn't think of anything better, personally.

Heterosexuality is still very much favoured. Don't know a single person who would choose to be a homosexual if somehow given the choice. It is still basically like being shunned by a good portion of the country, and most of the world.

In terms of equality and acceptance yes!

It could help with the overpopulation issue too.

    It wouldn't help with overpopulation...

Because everyone would probably have their fun with the other sex then settle down.

Its not at an individual level but a societal one. In Japan for example, the number of deaths last year exceeded the births due to the disinterest in having a sexual relationship.

The need to procreate has reduced to the point where it is somewhat unnecessary and counterproductive.

Due to the inability of gay couples to reproduce, society will view all such relationships as a birth control mechanism and so will favour them.

During this phase, the homosexual population will increase exponentially and so will reduce the heterosexual population.

Perhaps this may even give rise to a "devolutionary" process in which there will be a prevalence of the "gay gene".

Depends on how bi you are, some prefer the same sex so may choose not to.

I wasn't disagreeing with what you said but I was saying in our society today we are not in stage 2 but still in stage 1. Heterosexuality is still strongly favoured.

Well with the 'it would help lower the population' issue actually bisexuals tend to be more fertile so it would create an ecological cataclysm if we were all bi.
just to be clear I am talking from a single standpoint here.
althoigh I guess it would mean society would completely change so it could be ok.
