Not really, but then again i am a freak...

If they've a nice personality I don't think it'd matter. Everyone's got 'pet hates' as you might call them, doesn't necessarily mean they're weird.

Reply 3

Weird is different, which is not always acceptable.

Nobody is not weird though...those people who seem to have no weirdness about them are weird just for that reason

Reply 4

It depends how weird.

Why do people avoid weird people? I mean if someone of the opposite sex was nice looking, nice personality and friendly, but had something weird about her eg wouldn't say certain words, never showed her arms even in summer or ..(enter something weird) would yoube put off? If so why? Isn't normal boring?

no! who cares if they wont show their arms- unless it makes them dead sweaty of course  nah weird can be quite nice.. geeks are weird, i like geeks

Those given examples are not really weird though.

I think it is the genuinely weird people most avoid...

I wouldn't say that! Weirdness makes someone more endearing.
Doesn't it?

Someone please say yes.

Reply 8

Weirdness if good, unless its perverted weirdness.

Reply 9

i know a few people who try to be 'weird' and on meeting new people if they said something random would be all 'oh sorry, i'm a bit weird'. they confuse it with daftness. my idea of weird is unexplained behaviour

Reply 10

I'm weird..people don't seem to mind (I think)

Reply 11

I don't - its a bit hard for me to avoid myself...

Reply 12

A certain degree of weirdness would put me off, i dont exactly class myself as middle of the road for a start!

"Normal" is borind, however, i a great bealver in the saying "the only people who are 'normal', are the people you dont really know"
- Its something my mum says. And if you thing about it, its actally true. certainly all my good friends, although many people would thingk of them as normal, have something a little odd about them!

Something like not wanting to show your arms tho, that is little weird. Wouldnt stop me geting to know them, however it terms of a long term relationship, i can see a bit of a flaw developing...

What kind of weird? I don't understand what you said about your arms but the types of weird people in our school are more interesting if they're funny about it.

if she ate a knob at night yes

Reply 15

all my freinds think i'm weird, some refer to me as crazy ____ (my first name which i do not care to dispatch). but they mean it in (what I think) is an affectionate way to some up my not-so-average personality.

weird is weird, sure. But then again, look at the rest of england - teen pregnancy sky rocketing, psychotic religious fanatics, the majority of the youth working jobs they hate getting into ****loads of debt and getting ****faced every night of the week that they can afford to, spending their spare time gambling, smoking pot, obsessing over how they look and am-i-too-fat fanatics.

If that's normal, I'll settle for just being me.

Besides, look at all the famous outcasts - rock stars, pop-stars, artists, actors, femenists, people who fought for black rights etc . . . normal is boring.

Reply 16

....sorry but what exactly is normal anyway?!

'weird' in whatever sense you take it to mean makes someone endearing to me - it means that they're not a copy of other people - they're actually individuals and might actually have something interesting about them

Even if they are embarrased to show there arms because they see them as too thin? In other words they are self conscious of there body, is this weird?

Yeah, that was sort of my point as well.
- However, some people can take it too far, although theres only maybe 1/2 people i know who are just that little bit too odd for me to consider possable gf material, mainly in an attention seeking way, which is something that really narks me.
