    Hi People,

Just wondering if you class parents as your friends?

Nope, I would like to but parents have their own place. I often find that I can't discuss things with them that I can with a friend, and vise versa.

well, people always say to me 'why do you always hang out with your parents, don't you have any friends?' and i'm like 'course I've got loads, but my parents are really worldly wise and everything and I can learn from them' .

My parents are divorced and I live with my Mum. I sometimes think that Mum and I are just really good friends, especially when we make fun of each other and have fun. I don't really keep much from her, and I find that quite nice

I would say both my mum and my partner are my best friends. My mum is very laid back and is more like my sister so I feel comfortable telling her anything but she has a big mouth on her at times and can blab things without realizing it. She is a good laugh too. She had me while she was young so there isn't much of an age gap between us so we are into a lot of similar things.

Yes, Mum is my best friend. We go on holiday together, go on days out together and it's just as fun as it'd be if I was with my other friends.

I know I'm incredibly lucky. Lots of my friends don't speak to their parents at all; never mind choose to socialise with them!

I have my partner, too, who is also like a best friend, and two solid groups of friends who are also fab .

No never lol. Infact my mum warned me not to class her as a friend (she wasn't joking), she says I'm her mum and that's where it ends. I get on really well with my mum though, not a day goes by where we don't have a laugh and for as long as I can remember I've been able to tell her about 98% of what goes on in my life.

My mum is absolutely my best friend.

We confide in each other, support each other and love spending time together.

I really hope I have the same kind of relationship with my daughter

not really, even though my mum had me at a young age I don't feel like I could tell her everything, even when she says I can
i think it's harder for a son and his mum to be 'good friends' in a way

No.. I'd say my best friend is my partner. I get on well with my parents - more so now I don't live with them - and as I've grown up it's become less of an parent-child relationship, but I think that's just the natural progression. I wouldn't discuss things I'd talk about with friends with them, though.

Really close to my mum, could tell her pretty much anything. Dad is just a bit more awkward

But yeah, she's definitely one of my best friends.
