    Hi there,

I submitted my UCAS application last month and a week later I received an offer from LSBU, which I was quite happy about as it gave me more lee way for a lower insurance choice if I felt it was needed when I choose my firm and insurance choices.

However, recently I was informed that they have discontinued the course and was just wondering if anyone knows why exactly other than 'lack of resources'? I am just a bit confused as to why they have done this and am concerned that my other choices might do the same. I have 3 other choices I am happy with but like I said I am a bit worried now that this happened, I wasn't aware that universities were allowed to just discontinue courses like that especially after the UCAS deadline has passed.

Hello , i applied for Psychology and Psychology Councelling , if they dont have the resources as in teaching staff they can pull the course . However you would have been offered another course choice similar to the one you applied for with a conditonal offer if they were going to offer you... this is what happend to me as the psychological C course was suspended .... which is a shame as it was the only one that actually varied from the other PSYCH courses... if you compare your modules to the other psychological courses they are pretty much the same accept the slight difference in year 3 which would be your optional choice

Thanks for your response. Yeah, I appreciate that now I was just a bit annoyed at the time I suppose. I have decided that I would rather not firm or insure LSBU as I would like to do both Psychology and Criminology rather than straight Psychology but might consider them if I go into clearing. Hope everything works out with your course though.

Sorry for the really late response, I have just seem this now.

Woah. That is so bad! How are your universities allowed to do that? Isn't there some sort of regulation which prevents this sort of thing?

It sounds like something my sixth form would do but my sixth form is really awful lol. I feel sorry for those students, I hope it doesn't impact their grade too much... I guess I should consider myself lucky after hearing that!
