    Hey, guys!

Just received the final answer from the university I applied for. So, now I have all the offers and I made my decision - made the University of Bradford my firm choice. All have all chances to fulfill all requirements.

So, now I'm starting to think, where to live, how to get to know new people there. And I thought, why not to post a thread here and find some 1st year guys at my age - I'm 19. So to speak, for the reason not to be alone when I get to Bradford(actually, I know one guy from my country who studies at BU now).

Something about me - 19 y.o. young man, going to study Chemical Engineering, white, from North Europe.

So, if you are willing to get know new people in advance or trying to find a place to live/someone to live with, just send me a message here, I'll give you my Facebook link and we will connect on Facebook with each other. We can gather some people in Facebook group messages or just chat 1-to-1.

Hope, it will help some people and me, too

    ----

    I'm upping the theme.
Is anyone going to live in http://www.universalstudentliving.com/properties/bradford/ in new year(Sep 2015)?

    Hi

First of welcome to Bradford, trust me you are going to love it! I recently graduated from the university and had a great time, there is always stuff to do in the university and the local area.
If you are looking for accommodation why not check us out? We have rooms to suite everyone and at a range of prices. We have a large number of 1st year living with us, and many from the engineering department. We are really focused on community and run events during the year for residents as well as weekly film showings, we have a large games room (with a cafe) for residents and a large study suite which is really popular.

Check out our website or facebook, and if you have any questions feel free to drop us a message! We also have a facebook group for residents to talk to each other and get to know each other.

Hope this helps, and welcome to Bradford

Hi ial22 and Colette_ we’re really pleased to see you’ve both decided to make the University of Bradford your firm choice.

The majority of our first year Undergraduate students stay at our Green Accommodation. Opened in 2011, The Green is a purpose-built £40 million student village at the City Campus, putting students right at the heart of the University’s academic studies, student facilities, support services and social activities. The Green provides a hugely welcoming and sociable environment for students living away from home for the first time, getting your university journey off to the perfect start.

The Green offers you the best of both worlds – a secure and self-contained community minutes away from all our campus facilities and just a short stroll from the city centre. The Buildings are arranged as a small village, with rooms available either in apartments with six en-suite bedrooms or 12-bedroom townhouses. At the centre of the village is 'The Orchard' which is central hub building that has the Accommodation and Management office and laundrette. The Orchard overlooks a biodiversity pond and offers a host of places to meet, socialise and relax within its attractive landscaped gardens.

There is a real sense of community. We have this social community scheme called the Green Associations, which is run by the Green Ambassadors. The idea is to organise a series of events which are both fun and interesting, but that also bring everyone together so that everybody living at The Green feels part of the community.

Further information about our Student Accommodation can be found on our website at http://www.bradford.ac.uk/student/accommodation/. We would also encourage you to view the following video to get a more real feel for the village and accommodation: http://bit.ly/1vg34W2

Hopefully this information helps! If you would like further more specific assistance with anything at all please do let us know.

Although I can't disagree with USL's standard room, we are similarly priced on the En Suites

    Hey ial,

As our en suites come with a minimum three quarter bed, the best comparison would be with their plus rooms (£79 against £75).

All USL's other rooms are cheaper, however.

Hi bdowns, just thought I’d bring it to your attention that a couple of other students are looking to connect with fellow University of Bradford Social Work applicants here - http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=3311979. May be worth posting on this thread as well as this one

In the meantime if you have any specific queries relating to the University of Bradford or the Social Work BA (Hons) course feel free to get in touch.

Thank you!! Did you live with us this year?

Although I promise we're friends really (well at least I hope they like us!) and I would happily recommend another accommodation if it was in the best interest of the resident.
