Northumbria: Coach Lane Campus

I just wondered how far out the coach lane campus is from the city centre? Would you have to get a bus/taxi etc or could you walk?

Anyone who is at the coach lane campus, are you in accommodation in the centre or near the coach lane campus?

Also is it a nice campus?

I think it's about 10-20 minutes by bus... I'm not sure how long if you walk, but it would take long.

I used to live not far from the Coach lane Campus when I was in halls at Newcastle Uni. The area is nice enough but Ive never been inside the campus so I cant help there. i used to get the bus in to the city and it was about 15 mins but more in rush hour because of the traffic. I think walking would take about 30-40 mins depending on how fast you walk!

Hiya two of my flat mates are on coach lane campus and they are both in city centre halls (Glenamara House). There is a free frequent bus service that the Uni run between the two campuses. They both prefer living in city campus as apperently the halls up at coach lane aren't the best.

I haven't been to coach lane campus yet but I have heard its really nice and quite modern. What course do you want to do?

From what I have heard the campus sounds lovely. Why not try to come on a visit or open day so you can see what it is really like. x

Thats good, well I went 2 the open day a few weeks ago but I wasn't totally sure what I wanted 2 do then, so I never went 2 look at the coach lane campus, but I will definitely try and get up again and have a look. Thank you for all your help, it has really helped.

you can get the metro. that takes about half an hour

I've always been at city campus but yesterday i went to coach lane for the first time and its really nice and modern compared to some places in city campus. Its really easy to get into the city from coach lane there's a few busses and the metro is only about a 10 min walk or so.
