    Hi everyone!

My tutor has given me homework to complete however I do not understand the question. The homework is to read two passages describing two different cities and answer the question "Compare the ways the writers describe the two different cities".

I don't understand what I am supposed to do and write about.

Can someone please explain to me what the question is asking me to do.

    Thanks

    Hi there

When the question asks you to compare the descriptions, it is actually a language comparison- as in, what is different and what is the same about the words uses to describe the two cities? So the idea would be to pick out particular words used to describe the cities- put either a phrase or word from each in quotation marks- and explain how and why they are similar or different.
