don't no how that got there, but just want to get rid of them asap, really self-conscious in front of my gf.

some look like regular spots (ie can squeeze puss out), but some are little bumps.

any advice please!!!! what should i try: tea tree oil, vitamin e, clearsil???

if they're sudden, could be an allergic reaction to something (new kind of fabric softener etc) or you might be ill so it might be worth doing some research and seeing a doctor if you have any major concerns. I'd suggest washing more vigorously but that would be obvious and mean! :p:

Tea tree is always good though!

Hey, I had that for about 6months to a year on my shoulders. I hated it, and tried everything like tea tree oil and clearasil, but nothing really worked. I went to the doctor about it, he gave me something called Zinertyrt (something like that) which was a roll on and they went totally within 3 weeks and havent had any since and that was when i was 15. And it was free.

omg that sounds like my situation, but i had it for longer though (not an allergy or anything).

def try "zinertyrt", but do you know actual name, cause googled it and nothing came up

Is it at places like boots or superdrug? hope you can post the exact name, cause desperate to get rid of it

Yeh its spelt how the person up there said ^^ and you have to get it prescribed. But I just thought, whats 3 minutes of embarrassment at the doctors compared to a years worth of embarrassment when i wear strappy tops and stuff.

I've had that since I was about 12, but it's not so bad now. There's not a great deal you can do about it really, other than eating healthily, drinking loads of water and washing well. Even that probably won't get rid of it. It's just one of those things that guys of a certain age suffer from.

If it's really bad and it's getting you down in a big way, doctors can prescribe medication for it. But it can do more harm than good (the stuff they prescribe to treat acne can lead to serious depression) so it's probably best just to let it do its thing and put it into perspective; at least it's not all over your face.

may not be applicable if you're a guy, but i find i get some small spots on my back/shoulders if i wash my hair in the shower as opposed to over the side of the bath..think it's the conditioner that disagrees with me

Shower daily. Scrub back to avoid build up of dead skin cells. If self concious about girlfriend get girlfriend to rub back for you in shower and get the best of both worlds.

zineryt i believe, they'l know it at your local surgery it was something of a fad for a time where i live everyone was going in to get some it is a miracle cure for some, not all. there are tablets you can get as well but they have side effects, like messing up your immune system, stick to the roll on.

Go to a doctor and they might give you antibiotics for it if it is bad enough. They did with me.

My boyfriend is absolutely stunningly handsome, but he has awful acne type bumps and scars on his back. He is rather self conscious about them, so I know how the OP feels.

He's a very sporty guy - always playing rugby or cricket - and has a darker mediterranean complexion, so you wouldn't expect it to be a problem. He showers every day, wears fresh clothes, and isn't allergic to anything. We've tried most things and they don't seem to work. The only 'cure' for him is sunlight. During the summer he went to the caribbean for two weeks and his back and shoulders came back completely clear; terribly odd. Also, exfoliating in the shower with body scrub and a loofah once a week seems to help, though I usually have to help him with that as he can't reach right round.

Even though we love each other to bits and completely trust each other, he still finds it embarrassing to have acne on his back which is really sad as I think he's the most wonderful, caring, attractive person I know. :frown: Well, I suppose he puts up with my wobbly-bit wobbles...

I tried Roaccutane for two months then stopped because my lips started to swell and I occasionally felt nauseous. At the time I wasn't fully aware of the benefits, I should have asked obviously. I thought it would get rid of the spots for a while but it would not be able to prevent them from returning. Damn dermatologists!! why can't they explain things clearly! :frown:

I think I'll go back on it towards the beginning of the summer holiday so at least my college pals wont see me with mega big lips.
