# C3 Question watch

1. Guys please check the link provided and fast forward to like 6:20 ish and explain why he said maximum occurs at -1.. Shouldnt maximum be 1 and minimum -1?? Please help exam in 2 days http://examsolutions.net/a-level-mat...5&solution=4.1

By the way, it's much easier for us to help if you transcribe the problem

A maximum of cos occurs at 0, when cos=1. Cos is minimised at pi/2, when it takes the value -1. However, maxima/minima of cos correspond respectively to minima/maxima of p, because p is an expression with cos on the denominator.
