Why are perfume adverts so raunchy watch

    I just think sometimes that they're over the top altho I can understand to a certain extent why especially if it involves sexy shirtless men!

    Perfume ads needs that raunchi-ness to catch our attention.

    Yeah, I stopped watching them when I found out they don't show sexy, shirtless women.

    They're trying to visualise a smell, which is very difficult to do, and so in advertising they fall back on using sexual appeal or elaborate, glamorous setting to entice people into buying the perfume.

    And yes it's true, they're trying to sell a concept, an image tied to the perfume.

    Just found this advert that I've never seen before:




    So I guess you were right all along. I can't believe I missed out on that bit of "fun". And by fun, I mean cringeworthy seduction that has nothing to do with how a guy will look, who he will attract, how he will behave, and whereabouts he'll be after buying that particular perfume.
