    Can someone put it as simple as possible what medications to give and when to add on what medications for both types of diabetes.

    I find the NICE guidelines hard to navigate for diabetes

    Give these a read. Regimens are confusing and take a while even for medics to familiarise themselves with. This website does a great job of explaining things to lay people and is written by doctors. If you want something more advanced, take a look at the 'doctors' part of the site for management of T1DM and T2DM.
