Arkwright Scholarship 2015 - Aptitude Test watch

    • Thread Starter

I have just submitted my Arkwright application, and with the next step being the aptitude test (next week :s) do any previous candidates have any advice?

I just took a look at the aptitude test past papers on their website, and they look extremely hard. I couldn't even think of one idea for any of the questions!

I'm doing GCSE resistant materials currently, and the test seems to much more mechanically based, compared to the resistant materials course which I am taking, which has almost no inclusion of any mechanical processes/techniques/systems, which the aptitude test seems to be focused on.

Does anyone know any good websites for such things? Even better, has anyone made a revision list of what you need to know (e.g. materials - benefits/disadvantages, mechanical systems, joining techniques etc. - my knowledge ends here :P), and know any sources to learn about such processes?

Any advice on revision/preperation for the exam would be very much appreciated (or any other advice relating to the test).

    Thanks in advance!
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
