    Hi,

So I am just wondering what I need to get a B/A/A* for English lit OCR A level. My mark that I got for AS was a B and I got something like 85UMS which is very close to the C boundary.

Can't seem to find anything anywhere that explains what you need to get for the A2 to get the grade you want!

    Any help is welcome

    Hi,

For all 4 unit A levels the AS is out of 200 and the A level is out of 400. The UMS grade boundaries are always:
    80% or more - A
    70-79% - B
    60-69% - C
    50-59% - D

Check to see what you got on each unit. For English Lit, I think the exam is out of 120 which makes 85 is a low B (84 is the bottom of a B) but then you will also have a coursework mark out of 80. If you got a B overall then you managed somewhere between 140 and 159 UMS.

To get different grades overall for A level you need:
A*: at least 320/400 overall and at least 180/200 from the A2 units.
    A: at least 320/400 overall
    B: 280-319UMS.
