I am in the first year of 6th form and have already dropped a subject. But, now that I am further into the year i hate it and feel as though A-levels aren't for me. i have looked at other courses and have found one that i am seriously interested in. I will finish off this year and then start the course but i don't want to regret it. The course is food technology.

From someone who is in their third year of A Levels, and has now decided they don't wanna go to uni, if you don't want to do it, then don't.

I've wasted nearly three years doing A levels because they're the "done" thing. I wish I'd dropped out sooner, or never even went because I could have spent that time getting work experience, or doing an apprenticeship in something I enjoy, or even a BTEC.

I've dropped History at the start of this year, and I've now dropped Psychology so I'm just left with Maths. Going to finish Maths because I can still do well in it, and my mum wants me to haha, but it is begrudgingly :P

You may get a lot of stick from people here for wanting to do something they may view as soft, such as Food tech, but if you love it then go for it. Most people who obsess over going to uni and doing a STEM course have no concept of the real world anyway.
