    Hi,

Anybody have any books or articles on how to develop advanced academic comprehension? I don't mean for children, but mainly for university level disciplines?

    Thanks,

    Lee.

The buzz phrase you'e probably looking for is "critical thinking". It's the cornerstone of reading critically, analysing what you read and constructing an argument based on that.

My uni has a few books/ebooks on developing this type of skill, so check your uni library.

"Critical Thinking Skills: Developing Effective Analysis and Argument" by Stella Cottrell, seems to be a good uni-level book.
