Guys when describing the MSM/WMM do you need to know the details of the studies into capacity etc or can you just say 'Miller discovered that the capacity of the STM is 7+-2'???

If it states describe the MSM then no you can just talk about the capacity, duration etc of each model without referring to research. But if the question states that what has research said about... That's when you need to use Baddeley, Jacobs etc

Not sure sorry, but you can just draw the model for an easy 6 marks.

MSM 12 marker either research into msm or msm on its own?

oh my exam sheet says 1:30
i always get confused by the duration so 18-30 seconds then

The length of the exam is 1hr 30.
Mine starts at 1pm
You have to say participant first and then start to refer them to pp after that

Deprivation = PDD (Robertson and Robertson), Bowlby's maternal deprivation hypothesis and Bowlby's 44 thieves study

Privation = Koluchova, Skuse, hodges and tizard and rutter et al

Institutionalisation = hodges and tizard and rutter et al

Cognitive interview = gielsman and fisher

capacity of STM = jacobs
duration of STM = peterson and peterson

duration of ltm = bahrick et al

encoding in stm and ltm = baddely

I think that's it?

MSM 12 marker either research into msm or msm on its own?

Could get 6 A01 with just msm on it's own but would have to be detailed then for A02 just state that it has further empirical support from baddeley and contradictory evidence from WMM

Silly question but just making sure, when answering questions can we refer to participants as pps in the exam because I now some marks are for spelling etc. Can we also refer to Eye witness testimony as EWT and short-term memory as STM etc?

Always write participants.

For EWT and STM, make sure you write the whole thing out first, then it brackets afterwards use the acronym. e.g. eye witness testimony (EWT). Then you can refer to it as EWT throughout the essay.
Do I need to know bowlbys maternal deprivation hypothesis?

When answering the question on misleading information on EWT, is one research study enough for a 12 marker?

I think writing about 2 studies in the AO1 is the least you should do
