    Hey guys.

So after leaving school in 2011 with 2 highers (computing & physycs) I've decided to take the plunge and finally start trying to get into higher education again. However i have a query that mayby one of you guys can clear up.

My original intention was to study a HNC/D in Mechatronics engineering (I love the idea of integrating mechanical and electronic systems). However when looking for courses at the HNC/D level I found many listed as "Engineering Systems" which seems like an extremely similar concept to mechatronics. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these courses. As I orginally set my heart on mechatronics however Engineering Systems appears to be taught at a lot more colleges in my area (west of Scotland). However I dont want to make the mistake of applying and potentially accepting a course which isn't what i thought it was lol.

    For reference

    Engineering Systems
