I have no prob with girls approaching guys, infact..should happen more often!!

Have a few good nights out/in and show that you like their company.
Then afterwards just tell them that you like them.
Guys shouldn't have a problem being approached by girls, they should welcome it!

Well were not exactly close friends, though I talk lots to him in class. I feel that if I ask him out ... he might get a shock and erm... die since we don't hang around together. I find it hard to get his number/email addy without looking desperate.

Any more advices/suggestions?

I'm in a similar situation myself, all I can say is get to know him more and take a risk of asking him out...

Examples of conversations you could use:

*If he's free on weekend and likes fire works* ' So would you like to come to bonfire night on Sunday? It'll be fun and plus you're great company!'

*If he's free on weekend*
' I havn't been to the cinema for ages... do you want to see a film this Saturday? etc'

Be creative in what you say.

Hope that helped! haha.. I'm sure you can be more creative than me. Good Luck.

I would be honoured if a girl asked me out. Makes for a nice change, go for it !

I'm fairly sure he won't die.

Go on! What's the worst that could possibly happen?

Hmm I guess so, I'll go for it. I know it'll be so random like oh ' would you like to go out sometimes?:p: '. I don't want to appear too forward and plus I have no idea where we can go...

I feel really stupid trying to find a way to ask him out when it could be so simple... It's fear of rejection I guess.. and embaressment.

Yeah I know what you mean ... I don't think there is an answer to this situation. You'll have to figure it out yourself and go with the flow. See his body language, follow his conversation then maybe at the end of it pop in ' I'm going to (insert place) with some friends, would you like to come?'. Be subtle if you don't want to be forward  . Be yourself.

Perhaps go out somewhere with him, even if it's just down town and get to know him more, let's just hope he don't use you like the last one did.

Yeah, I've left my ex now, he messed me big time. So now...I'm picking myself up again and trying get to know this lad I recently like. I hope he'll like me for me though... I'm not sure whether to ask him out. Should I ask him as in ' would you like to go out sometimes?' Grr I dunno what to say exactly as I'm not close friends with him....he's probably get freaked out. haha

I don't blame you for leaving him, he sounds like a right ass, ask him just casually if he wants to go out somewhere not meaning as in going out, and perhaps if you have a good time out maybe ask him then if he does want to go out.

So should I go ' so would you like to come down town with me sometimes? You seem a great person to hang around with! What do you think?'

I dunno how he would respond, but what do you think of this question if you hardly know the girl.

Thanks for being helpful Carl.

I think you should try to work into the conversation fairly subtly so he doesn't feel all awkward. He sounds pretty shy and meagre and you don't want to scare him off by being too forward.
