I'm studying... A Levels! (Biology, English & Communication and Culture)
I'm interested in... Hello! ☺️ I am interested in becoming a speech and language therapist! I have applied to 5 universities - 2 interviews, 2 rejections and 1 I'm still waiting for...the course is so very competitive and this is adding extra pressure on me in regards to the interview; I need to portray a potential professional therapist and I'm worried that I will be a nervous sweaty mess! Because the places are so few compared to the number of applicants I need to make sure that my interview is top notch.
I'm not worried about presenting myself and body language, more so the syntax and terminology which will come out of my mouth!
I volunteer for an Autistic Spectrum Primary and also for the Stroke Association running a communication cafe once a month for stroke survivors. I'm also reading numerous books such as 'The man who mistook his wife for a hat'/ 'Black Swan Green' and various others.
"WHY do you want to become a speech and language therapist and study at our university?" This is the big one...
Does anyone have any interview tips? Also, if anyone has applied for a SLT course in the past/now I would be truly grateful if you were successful/unsuccessful and if you could share your experience!
My study level is... A-level (A2)
