i'm in my 2nd year of ab initio german, with another language at post a-level standard.

Last year i was learning to tell the time, now i am being given hour-long interviews to watch and understand with no idea of what's going on, no english subtitles, just automatic (and highly inaccurate) german captions.

This particular teacher sets this kind of work all the time. It really maddens me because i can't even make out the actual words this interviewee is saying, let alone translate said words and learn from it. I'm not being taught anything here. even the other teacher reckons the work is way beyond my level.

    feel really miserable. help.
