Currently, I'm getting very frustrated with myself - I keep getting B grades in all of my GCSE mock exams. Currently I have these mock results:

    Computer Science: A
    History exam papers: B
    Maths: B
    Music: C
    Photography: B
Science Additional Chemistry: C (Extremely hard paper)
    Science Additional Physics: B
    Science Additional Biology: B
    Science Triple results: Coming soon

    And these `banked` grades:
Mathematics: B (All of us are resitting this year)
    Science Core: B
    English Language: B

I need to know what I must do in order to get these A grades, I'm applying for some prestigious sixth-forms, such as Hills Road, and should really have As. I start to revise all of the upcoming mocks, at least 2 - 3 weeks before the first mock exam, and still get constant Bs. My coursework is all fine, and not included in any of the above mock exams. Is it worth me hiring a tutor for science and mathematics, to ensure that I get those wonderful A grades.

Not at home, it's a pain to print them off, as we do not own a printer at home. We do them at school quite often however.

Do extra at home if you want an A (although that isn't the only option)
Drop the whole "it's a pain" thought process as it will help you in the long run :fyi:

If you don't have a printer at home, do you have one in the school library?
If you do, I suggest printing past papers from there and taking them home to complete and I have the same problem as you so I feel your pain😩

It's pretty much impossible to get an A/A* without putting effort into it :/

if you revise the content, you will also need to be able to regurgitate the content in a specific way.. which can be practiced

What you need to do is go through your past papers and see where it is you're losing marks.
Then, learn the topics inside out. Learn it so well that if someone was to come to you for help, you'd be able to explain it to them.

Sounds silly but I record myself discussing a topic I've recently revised and see how much of it I can remember. Then, do all the past papers available on the internet.

There's no easy way around it. I used to be a D for chemistry but with the above method, I got an A in recent mock exams.
